The idea for the title of this book came from a little girl in a signing queue, whose name was Francesca. Unfortunately I couldn’t track her down when I came to write the story, but I did dedicate the book to her.
I love all the details Lydia includes in her pictures. If you look closely at the first beach scene you can even spot me and Malcolm acting The Gruffalo!
