I did a lot of research for this underwater story and all the fish in it are real ones – except for the Gruffalo fish which Axel sneaked in.

Because the story works so well as a play, I wrote a play version for a whole class to act.

There’s also a professional play called “Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales” by Freckle Productions which frequently tours the U.K
